520 _aTissue from body taken to diagnose the disease process and what happen to the tissue when it affected by disease, this by producing microscopic slides which examined by pathologists in laboratory. Specimen Preparation: Reception: All specimens received must be accompanied by a complete surgical pathology request, containing all details and surgeon signature. All specimens must be clearly labeled with patient identifications: name, age, medical history and type of biopsy. Lymph node biopsy must companied by full blood picture. Then, log all specimens immediately in pathology log book by number. If received two or more specimen for the same patient, give them the same histology logged number and A, B, C, etc.
